Do you offer engagement or pre-wedding sessions?
Yes, pre-wedding sessions can be booked as an add-on or bundled into a wedding package. They're a great way to get comfortable in front of the camera before the wedding day itself.
We're awkward. How will you get good photos of us?
Most of the couples we've worked with, it's usually their first time being photographed by a professional. But we place emotion and human connection above everything else, and we let your personalities and relationship guide the way we photograph you. That's the whole approach: we want your photos to feel like you, not like a staged shoot.
We give small, simple prompts to get you interacting naturally with each other rather than posing you into anything stiff, and you're free to make each prompt your own. Some couples need a few more nudges than others, and that's completely normal, by the time we're a little way into the shoot, most couples forget the camera's even there.
Will the same photographer(s) shoot every event, or will the style be inconsistent?
We maintain quality and consistency in our work by having only one team. With all shooters trained in the same style.
Do you offer a consultation before we book?
Yes, reach out through the contact form and we'll set up a phone, video, or in-person consultation to walk through your wedding timeline and build a package around it.
Where are you based, and do you travel for weddings?
Bhav Sidhu Photography is based in both Surrey, BC and Edmonton, AB, and offers the same photography packages across all of British Columbia and Alberta — no separate pricing tiers by city. We're also available to travel for destination weddings across Canada and beyond. Reach out through the contact page with your location and date, and we'll confirm availability.
How far in advance should we book?
Most couples book 1 to 2 years ahead, especially for peak season (May–October) in Canada. Bhav Sidhu Photography takes on a limited number of weddings each year, so earlier booking secures your date and gives more planning time together before the big day.
What happens if we go over the contracted amount of time? Do you charge for additional coverage?
Weddings rarely run exactly on schedule, and we won't just pack up the moment the contracted time hits, instead, we'll check in with you as that time approaches and ask if you'd like us to stay longer. If you do, additional coverage is billed at the rate in your contract, rounded to the nearest 30-minute increment.
The reason there's a charge at all comes down to real costs on our end: extra hours mean extra compensation for the shooters who stay with you, and every additional photo taken still needs to go through post-production, which adds to the overall workload, not just the time on-site.
